Welcome to Moorland Hall in beautiful Dartmoor National Park where the Farrington family have been running outdoor activity holidays for over 20 years. When the Farringtons are not welcoming students from around the world we are happy to open the doors to self-catering bookings.

Your group is invited to relax and play in Moorland Hall’s five acres of paddocks and gardens with games areas, a heated pool (open May to September) and the whole of Dartmoor to explore right on the doorstep. Moorland Hall is the ideal base for walking, cycling and outdoor holidays.

We are currently taking bookings on a self-catering basis. The Main House is comfortable and spacious accommodation arranged over two floors comprising three family bedrooms, one double bedroom and one bunk room as well as a large sitting room with fireplace, conservatory, breakfast room, snug, dining room and fully equipped kitchen. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. For those requiring additional accommodation, the Coach House is a charming period building comprising two family bedrooms and one double room and one large bunk room, all with en-suite shower rooms as well as a kitchen/diner and sunny conservatory.

The Lodge is a quirky chalet style building with a large sunny sitting room, self-catering in the adjacent Shepherds Hut and sleeping in 4 rooms with shared shower room facilities.

All accommodation is deep cleaned and fogged ready for your arrival.

Seven night stays run from from Friday to Friday. Short term stays are available on request and are dependent on availability.

Location

Dartmoor is located in Devon in the south west of England and is within easy reach of the M5 motorway and is bordered by the A30 and A38 dual-carriageways. There are good mainline train connections to Exeter, Newton Abbot and Plymouth and there is an international airport at Exeter and ferry terminal at Plymouth. Approximate journey times to Dartmoor from Exeter or Plymouth is 30 minutes.
