Moorland
Hall is situated approximately 4 miles north of Tavistock on the western
boundary of Dartmoor National Park. The house itself has direct access
onto the moor and is ideally placed for offering a huge variety of outdoor
pursuits using the areas natural facilities.
Jo
and Mary-Ann Farrington have been involved in organising outdoor pursuits
for young people for some 15 years, and together with their team of
qualified and dedicated instructors ensure that everyone gets the maximum
benefit from their stay.
The
activities are aimed at bringing out qualities such as teamwork, confidence,
leadership, trust and stamina.
Moorland
Hall is a beautiful Victorian Country House, where they both live and
run the courses from.
The
house, which also has a swimming
pool, stands in its own five acres of gardens and paddocks in some of the most beautiful scenery within Dartmoor National
Park in West Devon.

is our priority, and our equipment is modern and well maintained. Fully
qualified instructors always supervise all activities.

Moorland Hall is registered
with The Adventure Activities Licensing Authority as licensed
to provide the following activities: Kayaking, Improvised Rafting,
Rock Climbing, Abseiling and Gorge Scrambling. Licence details

Caving
is subcontracted out to Devon
Adventure Training outdoor activity provider on Dartmoor who are also registered with the AALA, details
can be confirmed by calling the above AALA number.
We
are also full members of the British Activity Holiday Association.
Other
activities offered do not come within scope of the Adventure Activities
Licensing Authority.
