Vacancy for Teacher of English (EFL/ESL)
This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic ESL/EFL teacher to take over the organisation and teaching of English at Moorland Hall, English Language and Outdoor Activity Centre. The school has recently been awarded British Council Accreditation.
The post holder will be responsible for teaching English to foreign students between the ages of 9 and 16 who come to the school for between one and three weeks to learn English and undertake outdoor activities. The average age of student at Moorland Hall is 13/14. Students come as school groups (mono lingual) or as individuals for the summer camps and class sizes are on average no more than 12. Each student has 3 hours of English tuition per day (12 hours per week) and there are usually 2 or more teaching groups.
The post holder will also be responsible for maintaining the standards of English teaching to British Council standards.
Teaching takes place 4 days per week and the teaching season is between March and November although teaching during these period is not continuous. There are approximately 16 – 18 weeks of teaching during the year but there may be opportunities for part time work over the winter period focused on expanding our network and student base.
