Learning English
Our approach to English language instruction is diverse and engaging. From structured classroom lessons to captivating workshops and hands-on activities, we empower our students to gain confidence in spoken English. Our dedicated teachers and instructors are qualified to teach various age groups and skill levels. We work hard to foster an environment where language learning goes hand in hand with friendship and connection.
Travel arrangements
We personally greet each student and transport them to Moorland Hall. On return, we guide them through airport procedures. For our younger students, we recommend travelling as Unaccompanied Minors.
So much to do
Prepare for an exhilarating adventure! Our students indulge in activities dreams are made of. A full day and evening program ensures that students are always occupied. With down time around meals, we provide the perfect balance. Their experience promotes confidence, teamwork, leadership, and social awareness, keeping our students active and away from screens. All activities are closely supervised by qualified instructors, and our modern, well-maintained equipment ensures the highest level of safety.
Accommodation
Our guests become part of our extended family during their stay. They sleep in comfortable rooms in the Main House, attached Coach House, or Lodge, where they share with children of similar ages and diverse nationalities. Rooms can accommodate groups of 4 to 8 students. Our dedicated House mothers provide supervision during the night and free time.
The perfect time to come
We welcome students between the ages of 9 and 15. Many of our guests arrive independently. As a small organisation, we take pride in our ability to closely monitor each student’s well-being, ensuring they have a happy and enjoyable holiday experience. Our expertise in guiding first-time travellers away from home ensures our younger guests don’t become too tired and that they eat well and engage with others.

Catering arrangements
Meals are served in the Dining Room or Conservatory. A hot English breakfast, light lunch, and two-course evening meal are provided daily. Our home-cooked food is both nourishing and abundant. Guests will have the opportunity to savour local specialities such as Cream Tea, Fish & Chips and Cornish Pasties. We cater to special dietary requirements; please let us know in advance.
What your child will need need
Upon booking, we will provide you with a comprehensive packing guide. We supply all the specialised equipment needed for activities. Please label all belongings. Additionally, they will require a small amount of spending money for souvenirs.
Mobile phone policy
Mobile phone access is limited and Wifi is available for daily contact with parents at set times. This ensures students can make the most of every minute!
